Even if you aren't able to adopt or rescue a Barbour County shelter animal there is a way for you to help a dog or cat in need. Your tax deductible donation to the "Helping Hands -- Caring Hearts Program" gives you the opportunity to select a specific pet (dog or cat) that you would like to help. Your donation goes directly toward preparing "your" pet for adoption or rescue.
The Helping Hands -- Caring Hearts Program offers 4 levels of sponsorship:
Bronze Level $25 - $49
Silver Level $50 - $99
Gold Level $100 - $299
Platinum Level $300 +
The charts below show the minimum costs for getting our dogs and cats ready for adoption or rescue, and of course, unforeseen medical expenses can dramatically increase these figures.

Your sponsorship can help insure that our pets get off to a healthy start in their new life. And because we want you to know how important your sponsorship is, we'll keep you updated on "your" pet with letters and possibly photos.
