About Girlie
Life has not been easy for 4-year-old Girlie, a beautiful brindle Plott Hound. For years she was left outside to fend for herself by her frequently absent owner. A kind neighbor brought her food and tried to keep her safe, concerned that she would be struck by a car along the busy road near her house. She was finally surrendered to a local shelter and then transferred to our shelter with the hope that we would find her a real home.
Girlie weighs 45 lbs, and is sweet tempered, gentle and loves the company of other dogs. Though a bit timid with new people, she soon warms up and is rolling on her back, begging for a belly rub. This beautiful girl will be a loyal companion A home with a canine friend and a fenced yard would be ideal. Girlie is just waiting for the warmth and security of a forever home.
